Ninetail Digital / Chi Town Pizza
THE BUILD BRIEF
Design review of the five-page Chi Town Pizza concept. Based on the 27-page business dossier. Unconfirmed operations and assets are identified below.
View website conceptStatus: Publicly viewable Ninetail Digital concept. Not the official business website. Goldie, payments, analytics and the business’s own site are unchanged. Owner confirmation is required before an official launch.
Initial scope / concept
Build scope
Pages: Home, Pizzas & Prices, Pickup, Our Story, Contact. Home includes the offer, product explanation, story link and review themes. Navigation links to the destination pages. Add privacy/order policies only as required by the confirmed operation and integrations.
Primary action: Order Online opens Goldie. This starts the provider flow; it does not establish availability, payment or order acceptance. Help: Menu access and phone assistance at (626) 905-8375. The business outcome is a confirmed pickup order, not a click.
Website: Explain the pizza and pickup model; show approved menu and planning information; route people to Goldie or phone help. Goldie: Retained as the external ordering provider. Acceptance, payment, quantities, modifiers and confirmation are unverified. No API, embed, sync or completion tracking is assumed.
Out of scope: Custom checkout, connected payments or analytics, inquiry forms, accounts, domain migration, official business launch, and unsupported dine-in, delivery, catering or events. Photography, policy drafting and profile management need separate scope.
Implementation: Static HTML/CSS and minimal JavaScript; local fonts; no paid dependency. Menu and draft hours are edited manually. Assign a content owner and a site/Goldie update checklist unless a supported sync is verified.
Unconfirmed: MEHKO pickup is the provisional model. Menu, hours and company claims come from dated research, not owner approval. Asset permissions, permit/address wording and operations need confirmation. Reviews are paraphrased and linked, without invented testimonials.
One visual direction
Visual system
Serif headings, DM Sans body text, blue page and panels, cream accents, and red actions. Chicago references remain in the copy and graphics. Food, menu choice and pickup instructions lead the page.
- Type: DM Sans body; Merriweather Italic in selected headings; serif display type; outlined gold SVG for the hero’s “Chicago-style” lettering. Fonts are locally hosted.
- Spacing and controls: Phone gutters and section spacing scale by viewport. Hero and mobile dock buttons use pill shapes with visible focus and press states. Phone help uses the mobile dock.
- Navigation: Mobile menu opens a full-height panel above the fixed button dock. The header logo links home. Story links appear in page content and footer.
- Imagery: The supplied pizza photograph fills the hero with cover cropping. Other unapproved business imagery remains placeholder content. Check final crops on real devices.
- Logo and motion: Existing supplied logos are used provisionally. The mobile hero logo shrinks into the header; banners respond to scrolling. Reduced-motion handling is present.
Content status
What is provisional, and why
| Status | Prototype use |
|---|---|
| Dossier-supported public presentation | Business identity, Glendora, Chicago-style stuffed pizza, home-kitchen pickup, contact channels and Goldie destination. Prices/hours are explicitly marked as the October 11, 2026 research snapshot. Verified publication does not verify operational fulfillment. |
| Company-published claims | Family/Chicago roots and inherited recipes; 12-inch pies and estimated 3–4 adults; published later-address instruction. These are qualified or accompanied by owner-confirmation notes. |
| Customer reports | A restrained paraphrase of sampled flavor/filling, crust/cheese and personable-service themes. No invented quote, rating, count, reviewer photograph or promised universal outcome. |
| Design recommendations | Five-page scope, section order, visual tokens, navigation, fixed mobile actions and provisional CTA wording. |
| Unresolved owner items | Acceptance/payment/confirmation, availability, pickup arrival and policies, permit/address disclosure, ingredients, assets/rights and exact public story. Existing placeholders and draft labels indicate unresolved details. |

Verification record
- HTML/link inspection: Local page links, section anchors and accessible-label/description references resolved. Each page has one H1. Goldie links use the dossier’s exact business/reviews routes. External new-tab links have
noopener noreferrer; phone/email use real URL schemes. No external destination was activated. - JavaScript: Node syntax check passed. Script-level checks cover closing the mobile menu after link activation, on Escape and on outside click. This is not a browser or real keyboard test.
- Measured color pairs: Ink/blue canvas 8.19:1; muted/blue canvas 5.16:1; white/red action 4.72:1; red/blue canvas 2.65:1; dark blue/pale blue 7.32:1; note text/background 6.77:1; muted/wash 7.59:1; red/pale blue 3.63:1. Red on the blue backgrounds falls below 4.5:1 for normal text. No full accessibility-conformance claim.
- Scope/network inspection at initial review: No remote assets, imports, fetch calls, form, iframe, checkout, payment or analytics code. No paid dependency in the site source. The concept is now publicly viewable under Ninetail Digital.
Unavailable here: Browser control is unavailable in this workspace. The current build brief has not been checked in iPhone 16 Pro Max Chrome. Actual overflow, first-screen fit, menu interaction, focus, keyboard traversal, zoom/reflow, dock obstruction and photo cropping require rendered checks. Goldie, call, email and social destinations were not exercised for this review.
Required review widths: 320, 375, 390, 430 and 440px phones; 768px tablet; 1280 and 1440px desktops. Include iPhone 16 Pro Max Chrome, 200% text/zoom, keyboard Tab/Shift+Tab/Enter/Escape and both menu states. These remain pending rendered checks.
Still needed for an official site: Approved menu/product/maker photographs, ingredient copy, operating policies, permit/address language and content ownership. The hero photo is implemented; final device crops have not been visually assessed here.
Eight prioritized owner questions
Answers needed before production or launch
These questions do not block concept review. “Production” blocks final content or implementation. “Public launch” means launch as the official business website.
| # | Consolidated question | Blocks |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Will the business remain home-kitchen pickup? Confirm current permit documents, approved offers, exact online disclosure wording, enforcement agency and lawful business/address presentation. | Production + public launch |
| 2 | What does selecting a Goldie time mean? What creates an accepted order, when/how is payment taken, and what confirmation does the customer receive? | Production + public launch |
| 3 | Approve the current menu: names, prices/taxes/fees, size/servings, ingredients, modifiers, dessert availability and dietary/cross-contact response. | Production + public launch |
| 4 | Confirm hours/exceptions, app lead versus preparation time, cutoffs, pies per slot/order, larger-order limits and the actual no-slot/help process. | Production + public launch |
| 5 | What are the approved arrival/parking/access instructions and the rules for cancellations, refunds, same-day changes, late pickup and no-shows? | Production + public launch |
| 6 | Approve one public brand name and the short Chicago/family account. Who may be named, and which history/recipe details are accurate? | Public launch; final story copy |
| 7 | Which original logo/fonts, real food and maker photos, and customer/creator/press assets are authorized for reuse? Provide assets and permission records. | Production + public launch |
| 8 | Who controls the domain/site, Goldie and profiles; what provider plan/capabilities are documented; and who will maintain synchronized menu/hours? What outcome should the final site improve? | Production + public launch |
Approval checkpoint
Approval checklist

- Content structure: Approve or revise the homepage opening, product and proof sections plus the separate menu, pickup, story and contact pages.
- Scope: Confirm the five-page structure, required policy content and continued external Goldie entry.
- Readiness to build: Finalize affected operational content/assets, perform rendered QA and resolve public-launch blockers before any later launch decision.
Concept publication is not owner approval of operations, content or an official business launch.
